RAIN SIMULATOR
2026Rain Simulator is an interactive installation that uses a rain stick as a physical controller for digital weather. I trained Teachable Machine to distinguish tilt and movement speeds, then mapped changes in sound frequency and rhythm in TouchDesigner to the intensity of the simulated rain. By connecting object, gesture, audio classification, and real-time visuals, the project turns a weather simulation into an embodied system.

Rain stick sounds were classified in Teachable Machine based on tilt angle and movement speed. In TouchDesigner, I used changes in sound frequency and rhythm to control the visual intensity of the rain.
